MoodMate Support

MoodMate is a personal mood tracker for iPhone, with a home-screen widget. If something isn't working, or you just have a question, email subinrevius@gmail.com and you'll get a reply within two business days.

Getting help

The best way to reach us is from inside the app: Settings ▸ Contact Support. It opens an email with your app version, iOS version, device model and a support identifier already filled in, which is usually what's needed to find a problem quickly. None of your moods or notes are included, and you can read and edit the whole message before you send it.

If you'd rather write from scratch, email subinrevius@gmail.com directly. Telling us your iPhone model and iOS version helps.

MoodMate Plus

Logging moods is free and unlimited, in the app and in the widget alike. Your full History is free too. MoodMate Plus adds depth to Insights:

Plus is $1.99 per month, or $14.99 per year with a one-week free trial. Those are US prices; the app always shows the price in your own currency before you buy. A subscription renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.

Starting a free trial

The free trial is on the yearly plan. Open Settings ▸ Get MoodMate Plus, choose Yearly, and the button will say what the trial is and what you'll pay when it ends. You won't be charged during the trial, and cancelling before the last day means you pay nothing.

Free trials are offered once per Apple ID per subscription group, so if you've subscribed to MoodMate before, the trial may not appear.

Restoring a purchase

Already subscribed, but MoodMate isn't unlocked — on a new phone, or after reinstalling the app? Open Settings ▸ Restore Purchases. Your subscription comes back within a few seconds.

If it says nothing was found, check that the iPhone is signed into the same Apple Account that bought the subscription: iOS Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Media & Purchases. Subscriptions belong to an Apple Account, not to a device. If you're on the right account and it still doesn't restore, email us with the support identifier from Settings ▸ Contact Support.

Managing or cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they're managed in iOS Settings rather than inside MoodMate: iOS Settings ▸ [your name] ▸ Subscriptions ▸ MoodMate. There you can switch between monthly and yearly, or cancel. Settings ▸ Manage Subscription in MoodMate takes you straight there.

Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Plus until the end of the period you've already paid for. Nothing you've logged is deleted when Plus ends; the Insights calendar simply returns to the last 7 and 30 days.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Your moods, and getting them out

Everything you log stays on your device. With Plus you can export from Insights: a mood report to share or keep as a PDF, and a CSV of every entry that opens in Numbers, Excel or any spreadsheet.

Settings ▸ Delete All Data erases every mood, note and preference immediately and permanently. It cannot be undone, and there's no copy on a server for us to restore — so export first if you want to keep anything. Deleting the app removes your entries too.

The widget

The home-screen widget logs a mood in one tap. Add it by touching and holding your Home Screen, tapping +, and searching for MoodMate. iOS decides how often a widget redraws, so it can take a moment to reflect a mood logged elsewhere.

Face ID lock

You can lock MoodMate behind Face ID or Touch ID with Settings ▸ Lock with Face ID (it names whichever your iPhone uses). MoodMate never sees your biometric data — iOS only tells the app whether the check passed. If Face ID fails repeatedly, your device passcode will unlock it.

Reminders

Daily reminders are optional and scheduled by your own device, so nothing about them leaves your phone. If they aren't arriving, check that notifications are allowed in iOS Settings ▸ Notifications ▸ MoodMate, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb isn't silencing them.

Requirements

MoodMate needs an iPhone running iOS 17 or later.

Privacy and terms

Your moods stay on your device and we never see them. The full details are in the Privacy Policy. Subscriptions are covered by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement.
