MoodMate is a personal mood tracker. This policy explains, in plain terms, what the app does with your information. The short version: your moods stay on your device, and we never see them.
Nothing you write. Your moods, your notes, the times you logged them and every preference you set are stored only on your device, inside the app's own storage container, shared between the MoodMate app and its home-screen widget. They are never uploaded to us. There is no MoodMate account, no MoodMate login, and no MoodMate server that holds your entries.
Purchases. If you subscribe to MoodMate Plus, the purchase is handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to check whether your subscription is active. RevenueCat receives the transaction information Apple provides and an anonymous identifier it generates for your installation. It does not receive your name, your email address, or anything you have logged in MoodMate. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Support email. If you contact support from inside the app, MoodMate pre-fills the message with your app version, iOS version, device model, locale, the number of entries you have, whether you subscribe, and your RevenueCat support identifier. The content of your moods and notes is never included. You can see and edit everything before you send it, and you can delete any of it.
No tracking, no analytics, no advertising. MoodMate contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data with anyone.
The purchase information described above is used for one thing: deciding whether to unlock MoodMate Plus features on your device. Support emails are used to answer your support email.
Your moods stay on your device until you delete them. Settings ▸ Delete All Data erases every mood, note and preference MoodMate holds, immediately and permanently. Deleting the app removes them too.
We keep support emails only as long as needed to resolve the issue. Purchase records are retained by Apple and RevenueCat under their own policies.
Daily reminders, if you turn them on, are scheduled locally by your device. No notification content leaves your phone.
If you enable the Face ID lock, MoodMate asks iOS to confirm it is you. MoodMate never receives your biometric data — iOS only reports success or failure. Your biometrics are stored by Apple in the Secure Enclave and are not accessible to any app.
MoodMate is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Because your entries never leave your device, you already have complete control over them: you can view, export (as CSV or a PDF report, with MoodMate Plus) or delete all of them at any time, without asking us. If you would like your support correspondence deleted, or have any other question about your data, email us at the address below and we will handle it.
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
